Pamlico county is served by one county-wide school system for grades K-12, Arapahoe Charter School for grades 1-8, and by Pamlico Community College.
Pamlico County Public Schools
The Pamlico County Public Schools serve nearly 2,000 students in Grades Pre-K through 12.

Arapahoe Charter School
Established in 1997, Arapahoe Charter School serves grades 1-8. The school is located on Highway 306 in Arapahoe.
Pamlico Community College
PCC also has an extensive offering of Community Service and Continuing Education classes, Basic Education, and Online Courses, ESL, Compensatory Education, as well as Emergency Training, a-fnd Fire Service classes.
The Small Business Center at Pamlico Community College, located on Highway 55 in Bayboro supports the development of new businesses and the growth of existing businesses by being a community-based provider of training, counseling, and resource information. The SBC sponsors several business related seminars throughout the year, at no cost to participants.
