Entrepreneurship Education

 

Entrepreneurship Education is a process of providing individuals with the concepts, skills, insights, self-esteem and knowledge to initiate or manage an entrepreneurial business or organization.  The links below provide information for educators and others involved in providing programs to meet the needs of entrepreneurs. 

 

The Consortium for entrepreneurship education For teachers, instructors, program developers and others who help students of all ages find their own entrepreneurial opportunities.
Real Enterprises REAL (Rural Entrepreneurship through Action Learning) provides curricula, training, and resources to help rural America grow through hands-on entrepreneurship education that prepares active, self-sufficient and productive citizens to contribute to their communities' social and economic development.
National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship Brings its entrepreneurial training to high school students, especially those from low-income communities. Through its programs, students gain an entrepreneurial understanding of basic workplace and life skills, often for the first time.

Junior Achievement

Non-profit economic education organization. Programs are taught by classroom volunteers from the business community in both the U.S. and nearly 100 countries worldwide. Purpose is to educate young people to value free enterprise, understand business and economics and be workforce ready.
The KaufFman Foundation Works with leading educators, researchers, and other partners to further understanding of the powerful economic impact of entrepreneurship, to train the nation’s next generation of entrepreneurial leaders, to develop and disseminate proven programs that enhance entrepreneurial skills and abilities, and to improve the environment in which entrepreneurs start and grow businesses.

National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship Focused on increasing economic development through entrepreneurship education and student business incubation at the community college level.
DECA / Delta Epsilon Chi An international association of high school and college students studying marketing, management and entrepreneurship in business, finance, hospitality and marketing sales and service.
