Small Business Technology Development Center

North Carolina Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) helps small business owners and those interested in starting a business.  Management counseling and educational services are available to small and mid-sized businesses. 

 

The SBTDC has 17 offices across North Carolina -- each affiliated with a college or university. Most of the services are free of charge, and all SBTDC services are confidential

The SBTDC is a business development service of The University of North Carolina, operated in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBTDC office that serves Pamlico County is part of the Regional Development Services at East Carolina University:

Marine Trades Business and regulatory services to marinas, boatyards, boat dealers, boat builders, marine construction firms, and product/service providers.
Technology Commercialization Assistance to technology businesses through management counseling and Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) outreach.
