The Chamber is organized to advance the general welfare and prosperity of Pamlico County so that its citizens and all areas of its business community shall prosper.  The Chamber shall promote the Pamlico County area with particular attention and emphasis given to the economic, civic, commercial, cultural, industrial and educational interest of the area.  The Chamber shall encourage the growth of existing industries and businesses while giving all proper assistance to any new firms or individuals seeking to locate in the Pamlico County area.

The leadership of the Chamber is provided by four Officers and a nine member Board of Directors. The Chamber is not a government entity but has a long tradition of activity in North Carolina as a membership-based, nonprofit organization of diverse membership. Members and volunteers share a goal of improving the economy and enhancing the overall quality of life in our community by harnessing the collective vision and power of local business. Administrative duties and day-to-day business activities are the responsibility of an Executive Director. Businesses, individuals and organizations are invited to join and to become active participants in the Chamber.
