The Small Business Center at Pamlico Community College is Pamlico County's primary support for the development of new businesses and the growth of existing businesses.
A community-based provider of training, counseling, and resource information, the services of the SBC are available to any person needing assistance to start or to manage a small business.
Located at 701 Main Street in Bayboro, the SBC provides one-on-one counseling for small businesses in Pamlico County. In addition, the SBC sponsors business-related cost-free seminars and co-sponsors several events with the Chamber.

The Rural Economic Development Center is North Carolina's leading resource for rural people and communities.
Its mission is to develop, promote, and implement sound economic strategies to improve the quality of life of rural North Carolinians. The center serves the state's 85 rural counties, with a special focus on individuals with low to moderate incomes and communities with limited resources.

North Carolina Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) helps small business owners and those interested in starting a business. Management counseling and educational services are available to small and mid-sized businesses.
The SBTDC has 17 offices across North Carolina -- each affiliated with a college or university. Most of the services are free of charge, and all SBTDC services are confidential
