2012 Calandar of Events January February March April 15-17 Boat Show, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Oriental May-Annual Fossil Festival, Aurora June 9-The Chamber Business Showcase & Family Day, PCC Delamar Center, 10am to 3pm June 9-11 Art on the Neuse, Oriental July 1-2 Croaker Festival, Oriental. First weekend. This is an All-American family festival--parade, childrens park, great food, live music, fireworks! July - 29-31 Tarpon Tournament August September 16-18 Oriental Cup Regatta October- First Saturday in October. Heritage Day. All day family event with demonstrations of blacksmithing, corn shelling, tobacco tying, etc. Parade of old trucks, cars, and tractors beginning at 10am. November-Annual Vintage Fashion Show, Visitors Center November 5- Fine Craft Show, Oriental December-Christimas Parade, Bayboro and Oriental. Running of the Dragon, New Year's Eve, Oriental. Oriental Spirit of Christmas, second Saturday.
