The Visitor's Center is located at 10642 Highway 55, just west of the intersection of NC Highways 55 and 306.

The Visitor's Center is owned and managed by the Pamlico County Historical Association, is staffed by volunteers and is normally open from 10am-4pm Tuesday through Saturday in the Spring. Winter hours are 10am-4pm Tuesday through Friday. The Pamlico County Chamber of Commerce and the Pamlico County Historical Association both have offices in the Visitor's Center.
